Container Services

Being specialized as container terminal, all steps of container handling services are realized at Mardaş port.  For services items definitions please see attachment of "Terminal Services Definitions".

Berth details:

Mardaş offers safe berthing with 16m maximum permissible drafts. 910m berthing space enables Mardaş to berth vessels on their arrival. 

Surface Area:

Mardaş facilities extend 200.000m² Customs bonded area and 130.000m² off dock storage facilities. Therefore it offers 330.000m² sized service space in total. 

Handling Equipments:

7/24 services with 11 mobile shore cranes, 8 RTG cranes, 14 stackers, 30 terminal tractors.

Handling Capacity:

Annual handling capacity is calculated as 650.000 teus. By handling 450.000 teus in 2011 capacity utilization realized as 69%.

Reporting:

We use same language with line operators through reporting as Edi file formats. Fast and reliable operations lies on this communications.

Technology:

Mardaş keep up with latest technologies. For instance, Yard Management System and portable terminals enables us real time data access and monitoring.

Crane specifications:

9 out of 12 cranes are new generations post panamax mobile cranes. These cranes are suitable for handling post panamax vessels. 

RTG cranes and reach-stackers are available for smooth operations behind jetty supporting vessels' operations. The stackyard is equipped with 8 units of RTG cranes capable of 9+1 horizontal and 6+1 vertical storage, besides they are GPRS supported machines with transmission of container address information.

Service Attitude:

We are able to answer customer demands with tailor made solutions depending dynamic character of our staff. Although the customers play the similar roles they all are individuals. Different requirements may emerge. In case of insufficiency during standard practices, we respect of all demands that some of them may seem unusual. We are well aware that instead of squeezing our customers in to usual patterns, offering tailor made solutions make the difference. Each line operator receives the same premium quality service. Mardaş does not discriminate its clientele; it never attends competition distorting acts. 
In brief, since Mardaş plays only terminal role but not a line operator, we never interest operators or representatives' commercial secrets, confidential information thus pays respects to their priority of service demand.
